Wheatlands is the name of the prestigious estate built in the 1960s. It was built on land which were former wheatfields and thats how it got it’s name. It became home to many celebrities among them Bruce McClaren, Hannah Gordon. Rupert Davies from the Maigret series popular in the 60s lived in the Womans Journal House of the Year in March 1963.
