Heston's first steam powered Fire Engine

Members of the Heston and Isleworth Local Board Fire Brigade with their first steam engine in 1895. The picture was taken under the Arches at Hounslow Town Railway Station now the site of Hounslow Bus Garage.

Heston Fire Station built in 1895 and remained in service until 1926. The building still remains and is located on Heston Road adjacent to School entrance After this time a Fire Station was located in Montague Road Hounslow served Heston until the opening of Heston and Isleworth Fire Station in 1937.
